"Yes, Lord; yet even the dogs under the table eat the childrenās crumbs."
Mark 7:28
When you bring your children to Jesus, it is important that you appeal to God on behalf of his character. The character of God is the promise of God for you.
When a feisty woman brought her little daughter to Jesus, she would not take no for an answer. She appealed to Jesus on behalf of the character of Godāshe knew that God was generous, and that healing for her daughter was part of the bread on Godās table.
Jesus was so impressed with this womanās insistency, he said, āFor this statement you may go your way; your daughter is healedā (see Mark 7:29). By the time the mother got home, her daughter was healed.
No matter how deep-seated your childās issues may be, God wants you to appeal to his character today. Healing for your child is part of the bread on Father Godās table. This is a promise rooted in Godās character.
Loving Father, I come to your table to receive bread for my child(ren) today in Jesusā name.
