Worship Wins Wars

God wants our worship. He always has and he always will.  It is no wonder, then, that at the start of each day and at the beginning of every battle, we ought to put God first by worshipping him.  This is a strategy king David knew well:

"Out of my distress I called to the LORD,

and he answered by setting me free...

The LORD is my strength and my song

he has become my salvation."

Psalm 118:5, 14 (ESV)

Read any Psalm and discover for yourself how God's recipe for victory always includes worship as its primary ingredient! Worship allows our hearts to recall and beckons our lips to recount the faithful deeds of God in the past.  It is worship that conquers even the highest mountain you may be facing.

If worship is so vital to victory, why not make it a part of your family's daily routine?  Not sure how to start?  Open the book of Psalms and read or sing together as a family.  Memorize scripture and sing praises to God on a daily basis.  Also, take time as a family to simply tell each other what God has done.  Apply the faith that comes from worshipping to any battle you each may be facing.  Keep track of answered prayers and watch the momentum catch!

"Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe for our God is a consuming fire." Hebrews 12:28-29
