Keep Boiling in the Lamp, Ready for the King

“The kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish and five were wise. The wise took oil in their lamps with their lamps.” Matthew 25:1-2

This passage reflects our spiritual life and our intimate relationship with the Lord. Being like the wise virgins means keeping our lamps burning seeking Him daily, reading His Word, listening to His voice, and letting Him be part of every moment.

The oil represents the fullness of the Holy Spirit the presence that strengthens, guides, and prepares us. But this oil isn’t filled just once; it’s renewed every day through prayer, worship, and communion with the Father.

Just as there were five wise and five foolish virgins, our example is to be wise: to put God first not for what He can give us, but because we truly long to know Him more deeply.

Being prepared means living with a clean heart, free from sin and distractions that pull us away from Him. It means walking in constant faith, sincere obedience, and daily communion with the Holy Spirit.

Take a few moments and let the Holy Spirit speak to you.

Ask Him to reveal the areas where you haven’t yet given the Father full control.

Maybe there are things that have been keeping you from drawing close to Him be honest with the Lord, surrender everything, and let His love renew you.

May that oil keep boiling, may it keep preparing you for when the King comes, let nothing and no one stand in your way. To God, and God alone belongs the first place in your life. Only Him.

Keep your heart and your faith alive, burning with passion and devotion, always ready to honor Jesus when He comes or when He moves in your life.
